Toad Contract

History: When young, Kairin knew that he did not want to take the normal path of being a ninja, and asked his father if there was any way that he could set himself away from others. His father told him that few ninja held summoning contract, which in the end were powerful assets to one's arsenal. Interested of the technique, Kairin did research on such things before finding a way to go to where he needed to go. Being only a Genin at the time, it would take a lot of time and sweat while he not only looked in books, but was also out in the field working on a jutsu specifically needed for this intention. It would be no easy work, but Kairin knew it would be worth it in the end, which indeed it would.

Having taught himself the Summon Technique, Kairin knew that if he attempted to do so without a contract signed, he would be 'reverse summoned' to the place he had a natural affinity for. Doing so, he found himself at Mount Myōboku. Looking around, he was in search of someone who could possibly teach him. Everything seemed to have been enlarged, himself being hardly nothing in comparison to nearby plants. While he saw many different toads, none of them seemed to be 'the one' upon looking at them, which was distasteful for Kairin. He had a feeling that when he saw the Toad, he would know it to the him, and of course he would soon lay eyes on one of the elder toads.

Finding no one but Fukasaku, one of the most respectable Toads, Kairin quickly became a student of the old toad, and would should progress well over time. It would be no easy training, which overall consisted of over a month of living with the toads while training, all of the while learning as he went. Fukasaku would see the strength in Kairin, and knew he was the one to do it, which made him train ever so harder with his student. When deemed ready, full with multiple new jutsu to accompany it, Kairin was permitted to sign the contract of the Toads, being the first human up to that point to do so.

Appearance: Like Fukasaku, Shimo is rather short, standing only a meter tall like her husband. Her head is topped with purple hair, which resembles the formation of bumps. Since she does not have any facial hair, the wrinkles on her fair are more noticeable than Fukasaku's. Like her hair, Shimo's lips are also purple. Her skin is a light green, and though he seems wrinkly, she is actually quite full of like. Her eyes are yellow, and inside are straight, not round, pupils. Though she is normally accompanied with a warm smile, while around Fukasaku it is not off if she is frowning, and constantly bickering. Shima is always seen wearing a 'coat'.


Personality: Shima is considered open-hearted and her personality allows her to see everything with great clarity. Because of this, she is adored by all toads as the "Mother of the Toad Way". She is greatly respected because of her old age and wisdom, but she still manages to bicker with her husband over small things like missing dinner. Despite this constant bickering, she loves Fukasaku very much, calling him "Dad". Although highly respected, she herself seems to be lacking respect somewhat, most evident in her calling the Great Toad Sage a senile old man. While not as 'intellectual' as Fukasaku directly, Shima is still very tactical, in a sense, and is excellent at making the best plan to counteract nearly anything that can be thrown at her.

Jutsu:

Appearance: Fukasaku is a short toad, standing no higher than a meter tall. His skin is a dark green, and though he seems wrinkly, he is actually quite strong. His eyes are yellow, surrounded by a black circle. His pupils are small, and straight; not round. He has little hair, though a considerable amount more than other toads, showing that he is indeed an old fighter. He has a puff of hair in the center of his scalp, which is always sticking up. From above his eyes to around his ear holes are the lengths of his monstrous eyelashes. Aside from that he just has a small goatee. Fukasaku is always seen wearing a 'coat'.

Personality: Fukasaku, like his wife, is considered old and wise, and is greatly respected by all who know them well enough. In reality, he constantly bickers with Shima over small things when they should focus on the bigger picture, such as the fact that a battle will cause them them to miss dinner. It would seem that only Fukasaku can remain serious in even the worst situation, while Shima will constantly find a way to bicker with Fukasaku. She, similarly, does not have enough respect for the Great Toad Sage, calling him senile for constantly forgetting everything. Alone he works well in all situations, and can use his vast knowledge to assess the current state of things to his advantage, sometimes even surprising himself.

Appearance: Gamabunta is a very large toad, which towers over trees, dwarfs most large rock formations, and is larger than most buildings, though depictions of him are inconsistent in portraying how big he really is. He is colored a dull, rusty red, but around his eyes and on his lips and chest are brighter red markings. Over his left eye, he received a scar at some point in the past, but can still see out of it. He often wears a large blue vest, and always carries a massive blade at his hip. He also carries a large pipe which he often smokes.

Personality: To say the least, Gamabunta can be described as a gangster, though inside he has other feelings. On the outside he seems to be a grumpy toad, which indeed he is, but can show true sympathy when the time is right. He is severely protective of his kin, and will change his mind if they are involved, whether or not he thought something was suicidal moments earlier. While he is strong, Gamabunta knows his limitations well, and uses that knowledge to his advantage.

Appearance: Gamahiro is colored teal and aquamarine, has yellow eyes, with dark markings around them. Wearing hardly any clothing, he only has an orange belt running across his belly, though it contains no weapons. On his back in an 'X' formation are his two Katana, his main way for fighting enemies. One of the largest toads, Gamahiro stands at roughly in the same height range as Gamabunta. When not in a threatening situation, Gamahiko will remain on all four legs, as most toads do. If about to enter battle, he will normally hop at the enemy before drawing his weapons from their sheath and continuing henceforth by use of two legs, switching back to all fours only if necessary.

Personality: Gamahiro is a quiet toad, who works well with his summoner. Not one for words, he will simply listen, and do as he is told, should it seem to be a smart action. While the one who summoned him focuses on the enemy, and talking, he can continue with an assault, usually an array of sword slashes. His facial expression is that of a calm, straight face, and is rarely otherwise. Similar to the fact that he is not one to talk a lot, he also is nearly unaffected by whatever is said to him, and can act as if everything is normal while in the gravest of situations.

Appearance: Gamaken is a giant magenta toad with black markings on his face, arms, and legs with horn like protrusions on his head, he was nearly as big as Gamabunta, and could tower over most buildings, trees, and large rock formations. The markings on his face go from eye to eye, and resemble something similar to that of a smiley face. He wears a robe similar to Gamabunta's. He keeps a sakazuki-like shield wrapped around his back and a sasumata in his hand. He also refers to himself as very clumsy yet fails to show how.


Personality: He is constantly referring to how clumsy he is, and constantly seems nervous, albeit he also says that he will always do his best. While he may think low of himself, in reality he is very nimble, and proves to be more than capable of completing any task he is asked upon. Showing great companionship, Gamaken will risk multiple injuries for the well-being of his summoner, whom he holds special in his heart for having picked him amongst the others.

Appearance: He is a rather fat toad, who is of the color yellow. The sides of his eyes where the eye meets with the skin, as well as his mouth and a small part of his chest have orange marks. Unlike his father and brother, Gamakichi, he does not wear a vest, and would rather wear a simple blue shirt. He is just big enough for someone to stand on his back, reaching roughly four meters from head to bottom, feet not included what so ever.


Personality: Gamatatsu is a rather care-free guy, who is always looking forward to the next time he'll get his mouth in some food. He lacks a sense of danger, and will not be focused on something alone to a point where it comes to him he is in danger, even when in battle. Leading a simple life, Gamatatsu cares for his summoners, while at times he can only care about his stomach. When near his father, or talking about Gamabunta, Gamatatsu gets newfound confidence and strength, which can be manipulated for the better good.

Appearance: Gamakichi is a small toad, who happens to be that of a bright orange. Around his eyes as well as lips are peculiar blue markings. His size is only that of only two feet, so he resorts to sitting on his summoner's head instead of actually moving himself. Around his front two legs and back is a small vest that resembles that of Gumabunta, his father. He has a small marking on his chest that is similar in color to those around his eyes and on his lips.


Personality: Gamakichi is not exactly the eldest or wisest toad, but he has more common sense than others, some of which is just plain knowledge. He is rather funny, and has the mannerisms of a smart-alec. He is also often very condescending as well as light-hearted in most situations, preferring the levity of talk to the seriousness of battle, which could also be because of his general lack of fighting alone, though he makes a good combo with just about anyone.
