Inspecting the Stone

The wind was blowing lightly as Zen made his daily rounds about the village hidden in the stone. As he walked people throughout the village know who he is immediately and he exchanges greetings with them as he walked. Each step light and casual it wasn't often that he could enjoy walking about the village for his daily afternoon. He was only allowed maybe a half hour to relax outside of paperwork and other kage duties. He ran a hand through his hair as he left the residential area heading towards the main gate.

Upon reaching the gate he saw that all the guards were working hard at their duties, something he loved to see. It made him feel good to know that his village was prospering and people were happy. He stopped for a second remembering what it was like when he was a chuunin on guard duty. He used to enjoy just looking off into the land as the sun rose over the horizon. The morning dew lightly evaporating as the day took root for it's portion of the Sun's time to work while the moon and night rested. He shakes his head ending his daydream as the guards turn to wave and greet him. He felt something grip his leg as his eyes look down investigating what was going on.

He notices a small girl barely able to walk looking up at him with a lolli-pop smile that colored her teeth slightly red. He looked back and grinned back as she barely formed words playing with the kage. He knelt down picking the child up as the mother and father made their way over. They enjoyed casual conversation not realizing that he was the leader of the village not recognizing him outside of his kage attire. Something catches his eye as someone approaches. It's none other than one of his aides and AnBu. A female shinobi that approached him with a clipboard in hand. Zen grins and greets the family goodbye handing the child back to the family as he approaches the aide. I didn't see you at the office so i came out to find you. We need to discuss the upcoming chuunin exams. Zen scratched his head remembering that it was indeed about time to prepare for the exams. He nods for her to continue as the day continues on....
