Reign of Nidaime Tsuchikage (Open to All Iwagakure Shinobi)

It'd been about 6 months since the death of Nidaime Tsuchikage. Zen was now the leader of the village hidden in the Stone and could instantly see the stress. When he first took office there was a string of situations regarding the proper ordering of supplies to keep the village running. After that, there was the countless appearances that was required of the Hokage from schools to high officials visiting Iwagakure. He often thought to himself wondering just how in the hell the former kage did it.

Sitting at his desk that was covered in stacks and stacks of reports that needed to be looked over and approved or denied Zen let out a sigh. He remembered what it used to be like going on mission after mission and the thrill of danger. His position now required multiple shinobi guarding him most of the time for his own safety. He would gladly welcome a good fight but due to him being the village leader he wasn't allowed fight. Wasn't allowed to accept battles like he wanted to on the fly as he had grown accustomed to. He however found time to train every single day.

As he looks down at an incident report involing a person who felt the need to run around the village naked at high trafic times he runs a hand through his hair. After a moment of deep thought he leans back in his chair for a moment and lets out a slight yawn. The time of day was middle afternoon and he knew he much more to do in the day yet. Rising from his chair he looks out his window down on the people of konoha. These were the lives he'd vowed to protect no matter what. A slight smile made it's way across his face as he rememberd what it was like when he was a young shinobi and he looked up to the kage. The old man always carried a slight grin on his face. A grin as if even if the world was all going to end in a matter of moments, everything would still be ok because we, as a village were united in our destinies. He was the Hokage and he would of gladly gave up his life for anyone in the village no matter what. Zen now had that role.

Looking out the window he noticed a mother walking hand in hand with a small child. The little boy was too young to even attend the academy. Barely walking he still kept pace with the slow steps of his mother lovingly leading him. His eyes next dart to the right noticing an old man walking about with a hand full of groceries. As the man walked he tripped and fell sending the contents of his grocery bag on the ground. He remained there for a second before two young genin helped him up and gathered his groceries for him. One helped the man walk down a street while the other carried the bag of groceries for him. Zenaku appreciated seeing moments like this. It helped him to appreciate that there were still good and decent people in the world. These were the times that Zen appreciated being a role model and one to look up to for the future generations. Looking at the time he figures he has about an hour left to get more paperwork done before he had to leave and go on appointments in the village. He sits back down and earnestly gets back to work to do what he can with the time he has left.

Later on in the day he rises from his desk and prepares for a journey. He orders his ANBU on full alert and informs the captains that he'll be away for a while. Grinning he leaves for Konoha.
