History: The Akimichi clan (秋道一族, Akimichi Ichizoku; Literally meaning "Akimichi family") is a clan that is able to quickly convert calories into chakra, which they then use in their hidden technique, Multi-Size Technique and its various related body-enlargement jutsu. Most of these jutsu are known to rapidly consume the user's chakra upon activation, and maintaining them during a prolonged battle can be tiring indeed, which is probably why the Akimichi are prone to overeating in order to constantly replenish their chakra reserves.

For the longest time the clan had been located in Konoha, but with the changing world came the desire to travel and with that came the sprouting up of the clan over a large area. Favoring lands full of mountains, forests, and of course good food, it isn’t uncommon to find an Akimichi almost anywhere these days.

These shinobi are most often easy going, enjoying life until put into a position of hard work. At that point, they give a hundred and ten percent for every task they are given. The easiest way to irk an Akimichi is to speak the taboo word “Fat” or any derogatory terms regarding using that word as the base. They are a clan happiest when eating, quick to offer help, and in general are loyal to their friends or their own personal cause until death.

History:
The Yamanaka clan (山中一族, Yamanaka Ichizoku; Literally meaning "Yamanaka family") Originated in Konohagakure and specializes in anything mind related such as, manipulating the minds of their opponents. They have also displayed sensory abilities and their techniques range from transferring consciousness to communicating telepathically.

Not much is known about their history, as being an older clan often leads to myths forming and legends taking the place of documented pasts, but it is known that in the past they associated with both the Akimichi and Nara clans. Much like those clans, the Yamanaka have also spread out over time to have branches of their extended family in nearly every major nation and even a number of the smaller ones.

As well as their secret ninjutsu, they are also well known for their usually amazing flower shops. It isn’t uncommon for Yamanaka kanoichi to run flower shops between missions to help support their families with a little bit of extra income as well as enjoying the relaxing art of sorting, growing, picking, and grooming flowerbeds to ease their mind after a long or challenging mission.

History: The Hyūga clan (日向一族, Hyūga Ichizoku; Literally meaning "Hyūga family") is one of the oldest and most powerful clans in Konohagakure. All members born into the family possess the Byakugan, a kekkei genkai that gives them extended fields of vision and the ability to see chakra. The Uchiha clan's Sharingan is believed to be descended from the Byakugan.
The clan is separated into two parts, the main house (宗家, Sōke) and the branch house (分家, Bunke), a system that protects the secrets of the Byakugan from outsiders. The main house runs the family while the branch house protects it. The members of the branch house are branded with a cursed seal upon the next heir/heiress of the main house's third birthday. This seal gives the main house members absolute control over the branch members, because they can destroy the branch members' minds with a simple hand gesture, or cause them great pain to punish them. This seal also makes sure the secret of the Hyūga's Byakugan is safe, because it seals the Byakugan after the wearer of the seal dies. Because they are essentially servants, simply because of their birth order or heritage, some branch house members are hostile to those of the main house.
Members of the clan are instructed in the use of the Gentle Fist style, which uses the Byakugan to view the opponent's Chakra Pathway System and deal precise blows to disable and impede the flow of chakra. Due to training in this style, Hyūga clan members tend to have excellent chakra control. This is emphasized in jutsu that utilize this chakra control, as well as the nuances of the Gentle Fist style. The clan's strongest techniques, like the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, are only allowed to be taught to members of the main house.

Over time, with generations of shinobi travelling some even taking in the peaceful life and having children outside the clan, the Hyuga have spread across the known world and can be found just about anywhere, though there is still an abundance within the Land of Fire.

History: The Nara clan (奈良一族, Nara Ichizoku) or Nara family (奈良家, Nara-ke) is known for their manipulation of shadows and tending of deer, which graze in a large area of Nara clan forest. They have kept a book with medicine preparations and effects for generations which imply they are skilled in the area of medicine. Among the medicine described in this book are the secret pills used by the Akimichi clan.

Despite being considered geniuses, the men from this family are prone to being lazy and hard to motivate. Ironically, they tend to be attracted to stern, overbearing women. However, there appear to be other factors as well. The Nara men seem to hold women in high esteem, and as a result, willingly defer to their female partners. Shikaku Nara tells his son "Without women, men can't be born. Without women, men go to ruin. Even the hardest of women will show a sweet side to the man she loves and respects."

The Nara, like many clans of old, have travelled and can now be found in most of the major nations and even a few of the minor nations surprisingly. It isn’t uncommon for them to be simple farmers or local apothecaries if they became too lethargic to carry on with their normal shinobi activities.

Advanced Element-Mokuton (Wood): Those in the Senju clan can manipulate forms of wood. This includes summoning trees, manipulating wood from underground, etc. Every Senju clan member utilizes this element by combining Dotun (Earth) and Suiton (Water) elements. As such, clan members are almost always Dotun and Suiton aligned shinobi.

History:
The Senju clan was descended from the younger of the two sons of the Sage of the Six Paths. He was born with the "body" of the Sage, inheriting his father's strength of will and physical energy. The Sage's younger son believed that love was the key to bringing peace to the world. The Sage grew to favour the ideals of his younger son over those of his older son, who believed that power alone was the true key to finding peace. Therefore, on his deathbed it was the younger of the two brothers that the Sage chose to name as his successor. The elder brother, bitter and hateful at having being denied what he felt was rightfully his to inherit, attacked his younger sibling. The Uchiha clan would descend from the elder brother, resulting in the bitter centuries-long rivalry between the Senju and the Uchiha.

The Senju clan gained their fame in the era before the founding of the hidden villages. Where other clans focused on mastering one particular skill, the Senju were masters in all skills, from ninjutsu, to taijutsu, to genjutsu. Because of this, they were feared as "the clan with a thousand skills" (「千の手を持つ一族」, "sen no te o motsu ichizoku"), which gave them their name Senju (千手, "a thousand skills", "a thousand hands").

The most famous member of the clan was their leader, Hashirama Senju. His unique Wood Release ninjutsu even gave the clan the nickname the Senju clan of the Forest (森の千手一族, Mori no Senju Ichizoku). This Wood Release, and his ability to control the tailed beasts, made him the greatest shinobi of his time.

The Senjus' place at the top of the shinobi world was undisputed, but there was one clan that was able to stand up to them: the Uchiha clan. Whenever one country hired the Senju, their enemies would hire the Uchiha, and vice versa. This led to a rivalry between the two clans and, more specifically, between the leaders of the clans, Hashirama and Madara Uchiha.

However, in a world of constant bloodshed, Hashirama had a dream of peace, and a great love for his fellow men. Known as the "Will of Fire" (火の意志, "Hi no Ishi"), this belief made the Senju clan propose a truce to the Uchiha clan. Weary of fighting, and persuaded by Hashirama's great charisma and negotiation skill, the Uchiha accepted, ending their bloody rivalry. Only Madara was against this truce, believing the Senju would one day destroy the Uchiha clan. He was forced to accept, but his humiliation wouldn't end there.
Some time after the alliance between the Senju and the Uchiha was signed, the Land of Fire hired them to stabilize its borders, and the clans created a permanent settlement within the country. Thus, Konohagakure was founded, and, with it, the system of one Hidden Village per country. As the system spread throughout the world, the constant violence stopped, and Hashirama's dream began to become a reality. But it would soon start anew after Hashirama was elected as the First Hokage; a move Madara felt was a humiliation, and made him decide to leave the new village, eventually returning to attack it.

Throughout the years, the Senju retained their supremacy over Konoha, and made the village into what it is today. After the First Hokage's death, his younger brother, Tobirama Senju, stepped up to become the Second Hokage. Although likely not a Senju by blood, Hiruzen Sarutobi, who would become the Third Hokage after the Second's death, was trained by both the First and Second. His successor, Minato Namikaze, was the student of Jiraiya, who was a student of the Third. Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage, was not only a student of the Third, but the granddaughter of the First and the grandniece of the Second. All of them strongly held to the Will of Fire philosophy.

It is unknown if the Senju clan currently still exists as an organization. There are no known people with the Senju name currently alive, although the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade, might be an official Senju. It is very possible that the Senju clan disbanded into smaller clans and families, especially since they never had a specific skill or technique like the Uchiha or Hyūga clans. However, their legacy lives on strongly in the hearts of the people of Konoha.

History:
The Inuzuka clan (犬塚一族, Inuzuka Ichizoku) or Inuzuka family (犬塚家, Inuzuka-ke) is known for their use of ninken as fighting companions. Clan members are apparently given their own canine partner or partners when they reach a certain age. Thereafter, the shinobi and his/her dog(s) are practically inseparable. Clan members have distinctive red fang markings on their cheeks, animalistic eyes, and enlarged canine teeth. It would seem that due to the bond between a Inuzuka clan member and their canine partner(s), their chakra is allowed to mix and is shared between them, adding a feral appearance to the human partners, and makes a bond between them that affords them the use of the clan's collaboration jutsu, such as the Dual Piercing Fang.

Another clan that quickly migrated, they can now be found all over the known ninja world. Some even prefer to keep from being part of nations and act almost hermit-like towards others who would recruit them into the national military. The only sure thing about the Inuzuka is their bond between themselves and their dogs.

Name: Kaguya

Shikotsumyaku (屍骨脈; Literally meaning "Dead Bone Pulse"): This is the Kekkei Genkai of the extinct Kaguya clan, which gave them the ability to manipulate their own skeletal structure. By infusing their calcium with chakra, they can manipulate the growth and properties of their bones to their likings. The main capabilities of Shikotsumyaku is allowing the user to manipulate their bones' growth. This allows them to create weapons of bones that can either protrude from any part of the body, or pulled out and used like hand held weapons. They can even fire pieces of their bones as long-ranged projectiles. Any bone that they remove from the body immediately regenerates, as does the skin that is damaged when the bones are removed. Users can increase the density of the created bones, making them stronger than steel. This not only makes the created weapons very powerful, but also makes their bodies virtually indestructible.

History:
A clan built upon the spilling of blood, throughout their history they showed themselves to be horribly violent and absolutely barbaric in combat. Those who aren’t wild and rambunctious tend to be calm, collected, cold blooded killers. Though they seem much like any other shinobi one might run across, they are often recognized by the twin red dots near the center of their forehead.

Thought extinct for a brief period of time, they have recently begun popping up in nations one or two people at a time. Some say these are the survivors of their failed attempt at taking of kirigakure now far descended from their clans roots. They lack an official headquarters and tend to vary from individual to individual with no preference for any particular nation over another.

The Aburame clan (油女一族, Aburame Ichizoku; Literally meaning "Aburame family") is a clan characterized by their use of insects as weapons. The insects live in symbiosis within the body of the shinobi. At birth, members of this clan are offered to a special breed of insects called destruction bugs as a nest, residing just under their host's skin. The insects can leave and enter through various pores, apparently by eating their way through the skin. They feed on chakra as a food source, making them quite deadly. The relationship between the shinobi and the insects is mutually beneficial. The host grants the bugs shelter and allows them to feed off their chakra, their body becoming a living hive of tens of thousands of these bugs, and in return the bugs do the user's bidding, allowing the shinobi to perform ninjutsu-like techniques without the use of hand seals or chakra conversion.

A female bug can be left on a target, which then can be tracked by smell by the male bug, or scout bugs can be sent out and return to tell the host information about the area. For this reason, Aburame clan members are experts in espionage; they can communicate with the bugs, and the bugs specialize in stealth because they make no noise or motion during combat. In addition to utilizing insects in battle, the Aburame clan also studies insects. They were rivals of the Kamizuru clan, the bee users, until they defeated them in battle. A major defining trait of the Aburame clan is that all of its known members wear dark sunglasses that hide their eyes as well as jackets that cover part of their face.
