Basic Information

Name of Village: Bochigakure – The Village Hidden in the Graveyard
Placement of Village: Bochigakure resides northeast of The Land of Water. To the northeast of these islands, about halfway to The Land of Lightning, and halfway to the country that is to the east of The Land of Water, lies an island, slightly smaller then the Land of Water. This island is known to the Shinobi World as The Land of Death. In the middle of this island, surrounded by several graveyards, lies Bochigakure.

Atmosphere

Weather Patterns: On The Land of Death island, a tree called “Kemisar” grows. Kemisar does not grow anywhere else, and has altered The Land of Death’s atmosphere in bizaar ways. The sk is always a grayish red, usually pretty light. The clouds are red, but even more gray. The Land of Death is usually sunny (if you could call it sunny) or cloudy. The rain that falls from the clouds is also red and looks like blood.

Information on the Village

History: The Land of Death has always existed, just as the other lands have always existed, however Bochigakure has also always existed. In fact, people say that Bochigakure was the very first ninja village, and all the other ninja in the world are all linked and related to Bochigakure. The ninja in Bochigakure were created when the God of Death blessed them. For years, The Land of Death has worshipped the Shinigami, and it finally desided to reward them for their faith. It granted them odd powers, known as Jutsu, as well as Kekkei Genkais.

One day, a Shinobi of the Akuma clan, one of the most powerful clans, created a village surrounded by barren rock and dead trees. This was known as Bochigakure – The Village Hidden in the Graveyards. It was named this because through the creation, many ninja died. To keep the village hidden, the village leader, known as the Shikage (Death Shadow), buried all the ninja in the barren land around them, erecting large gravestones, and successfully hiding the village. And so, Bochigakure was made.

Jutsu: Bochigakure uses an element known as “Dakuton” or Darkness Release.


Laws and Plans: Bochigakure has many of the same laws as Konohagakure does, and people say that Konoha’s laws come from Bochi. It has no plans, but prefers to stay alone.

Ninja Village Stuff

Ninja Outfits: Kage: The Shikage of Bochigakure wears the traditional Kage robes and hat, however the white is a dark gray and the flames are a black. The same is with the hat, and the character on the hat is the Kanji for Death. Under the robes, the Shikage wears their preferred clothing.

Ninja Clothes: Most ninja wear personal clothing, but some, mainly Jounin, like to wear Bochigakure’s ninja uniform:

On their torso, Bochigakure ninjas wear a long sleeved, gray shirt with no collar. Down the front is a black horizontal stripe, and at the end of the sleeves there is a black vertical stripe, acting as the bottom of the sleeves. On their legs, they wear black, flexible pants. Over their shirt, Bochigakure ninjas wear a flak jacket. It has only one sleeve, like a toga, and two buckles and two belts, meant for holding Kunai, Scrolls, and more. On their feet, they wear the standard black rubber ninja shoes.
