Kansoeki, 第一ペスト - (First Plague)

Standing in a small lake right off of Kirigakure, Kai would proceed with training his jutsu in solitude. With noone around, he quickly formed a set of hand seals and looked down at the water around him. Perhaps it was his strong belief that god had chosen him, or maybe it was just another one of natures mistakes, but Kai was able to manipulate blood. So powerful was this jutsu, that for those that saw it, it became known as the true water jutsu. With the human body being 80% water, it had not surprised them when news of a blood based jutsu had been formed.

Forming from where his feet touched the water, it turned into a deep read that spread through the lake like plague in a city. Consuming all the life in the lake, fish began to rise up along the waters surface. Yes, just as Moses had done with God’s instructions, Kai had also done this. He had turned the lake into blood. But in order to preserve the life and food that the lake provided for the village, Kai quickly formed another set of handseals, resulting in the absorption of the blood. With the water a crystal clear tone, he confirmed that his jutsu was complete.

With his first of a few jutsu now mastered, he would now continue to a more simple tactic. Raising his arms up towards the sky, as if calling upon the heavens for an answer, he focused his chakra towards his arms and into the blood red bandages that were fastened to him. As long as they were, they dragged along the ground usually but would now show another purpose than just attire.

Like the tentacles of an octopus, each bandage weaved around like an extension of himself. Moving his arms to better control them, Kai looked a few yards away where large stone sat in wait. With the slightest motion of his wrist, the bandages surged forwards and came down upon the stone with full force. Slashing the boulder into pieces, the force of impact caused a cloud of dirt and debris to scatter around its former location. Satisfied with another finished and simple jutsu, the bandages returned and tighten once again, though they had never fully come undone to reveal his arms. Beneath his arms, lay a sight that none had seen and told the tale of. It was nothing great, but rather the signs of him using such forbidden jutsu as his Chiton.

Now closing his eyes, Kai focused the chakra in his body; or rather, the chakra in his circulatory system. WIth blood infused with chakra, every cell in his body was at his command. One of the many Kinjutsu he had learned, he focused his jutsu to his right arm. Enforced with chakra, Kai began to make his blood stronger. Now almost impossible to destroy, a quick body flicker resulted in his position to change near a large tree. With a flip of his arm, which seemed almost limp, the tree burst upon contact, resulting in a mess of bark and wood flailing about the scene.

However, constant use of this technique would interfere in the flow of blood in his system and could possible cause damage to himself. Ending the jutsu, he looked down at his hand and pulled the splitters from his skin. Of course, with every new jutsu, flaws would be seen. While causing his blood to harden, his skin still remained soft, thus the splinters. This would have to be fixed immediately. Once again focusing his attention to his chakra, Kai now used it to force some of his blood to travel through the pours in his skin and settle within it, thus causing his skin to turn a shade of deep red. This would cause his not only his blood to harden, but would add a second layer of defense that caused his skin to become just as strong. It was an odd jutsu, but it seemed to get the job done.

Letting the blood seep back into his body, Kai let out a deep breath as he was growing bored. They were good techniques, but not something Kai truly desired. No, in order to gain the power of which he wanted, he would have to look elsewhere. In due time, Kai would sit upon the threshold of true power and look down at the world with a vision beyond human reaches. Taking a seat, Kai poured himself a small cup of tea as a break for having completed a good portion of his training for the day. Sipping on the sweet delights of the villages finest, he looked back in the direction he came and wondered if he should head back. Relinquishing the thought from his mind, Kai set aside the small cup and stood to finish what he had started.

Could he possibly be insane? On first glance, one would never suspect, but after a full out fight with the guy, their opinion might drastically change. Slowly unwrapping the bandages from his wrists, Kai revealed his arms for noone to see. Decorated with self inflicted scars, Kai removed a kunai from his pocket to add to the marks. Without so much as a wince of pain, Kai ran the blade across each wrist, allowing the crimson liquid of his youth to slowly pour from his wrists. Having cut deep enough to pierce the veins themselves, the blood began to flow quit quickly from his wrists. Many would think him unsuitable to run a village with actions such as this, yet it was just a step in which to use his jutsu as he saw it.

As the blood ran from his body, his heart began to quickly produce more blood than that of which any human could possibly do. This was the gift of the Musubi. One of a few in which granted a human unnatural abilities. Known as the "Blood of the Musubi", Kai was gifted with the ability to manipulate his blood production rate, along with the blood itself.

But instead of streaming onto the ground like it should have, the blood seemed to form in the palm of his hands. As the blood continued to escape his body, it ran into what looked like two swords being formed in his hands. Clasping the blades, he began to swing them around, showing his unique skill in the arts of Kenjutsu. But as he ran through a few stances and motions, the blades continued to grow longer until they reached several yards long. At this point, the swords seemed to loose some of their hardness and spin around like whips. Kai's movements also changed as he now manipulated the whips to strike at various places.

To finish up the technique, Kai brought both arms together in a horizontal pattern, causing the whips to lash sideways. As they came around, each one seemed to detach into pieces and formed kunai that shot forwards by the force of his thrust. This technique was one of his most skilled along with being one of his most versatile. With his blood splattered throughout he area, one would think that a massacre had taken place, as there was far more blood than that of one man, especially of his size. With an outstretched hand, all the blood began to move towards him and was absorbed back into his system. Logically you would think that it would be too much blood, but then again, Kai could manipulate it any way he wanted, allowing him to absorb it back into his body where it circulate until used up. This was done by halting the blood production just until it would all be leveled out again. But even though it was back in his body, he still had to worry about the cuts on his arms.

With his wrists cut, blood lose would surely come quick if he did not heal it quickly. With the veins being directly severed, it posed even more of a threat, but did not seem to phase him at all. Turning over his arms to allow the wounds to face the sky, something took place within each of them. With the help of his chakra, the blood in the location of the veins began to quickly coagulate. Making a hard seal, the blood scabbed over, allowing the loss of blood to quickly stop. It was a great technique but not the same as the mystical palm technique. This jutsu could only cause the blood to coagulate and seal the wound, but it did not heal the damaged skin. Kai would have to get that healed upon his return to the village.

Done for the day, Kai picked up his things and turned around towards the direction he had come. It would seem that his duties as Mizukage would now have to be seen to, as he could no longer procrastinate. Much work was to be done within the village, and soon he would carry out his plans for making it a better place.
