| :: Basic Information :: Name: Kai Tetsuya, 甲斐哲也 -- Nicknames: Musubi no Chi, 結びの血 - (The Blood of the Musubi) Gender: Male Age 16 Zodiac Sign: Libra Birth Date: October 19th Blood Type: AB Weight: 52.2 kg Height: 168 cm Rank: Raikage Village: Kumogakure :: Character Looks and Personality :: - Spoiler:
Appearance: Known as the “Blood of the Musubi”, Kai is not like other shinobi. Infact, Kai is not even a shinobi at all. With self taught skills, and a late blooming Kekkei Genkai, his life was cozy and plush compared to most. With death surrounding his up bringing, the boy has almost a sad look about him. One would speculate that he has faced many hardships, when in fact he has only lived the life that most in his position did. Raised to be strong and noble, he gives off a sense of pride, making those around him seem flawed. Kai has jet-black hair, which is somewhat choppy, and falls loosely upon his skull. His eyes are probably the most noticeable feature about him, as they almost seem to suck you into their depths. With the color of crimson blood, he almost resembles an Uchiha with his Sharingan, though the missing Tomoe clearly rat him out. He has lighter skin than that of most people due to being inside most of his life, though many would assume it was toner. Considered quite handsome by almost all females, he was a sought after boy by the many eligible women. But try as they might, Kai never seemed to take in interest in any of them and preferred to be alone. With average height of any male his age, he does not seem to stand out in appearance, but rather posture. Living a life of luxury and riches, he was trained to always appear clean and contempt. He is never seen slouching or sluggish as his many instructors had repeated drilled him for public appearance. When one gazes upon Kai, many have noted his feminine features, as the word “beautiful” seems to come to their minds as a result of inheriting much from his mother. Beneath the red bandages that are wrapped around his arms, many scars can be seen as a result of self-infliction. Kai's clothing consists of a red, long-sleeved kimono with a floral pattern decorating it. Worn by his mother, it adds a sense of feminism to him that cannot go unnoticed. Since his mother was taller than he currently is, the kimoni seems a bit large for him, with sleeves that hang past his hands. The floral patterns are white and even consist of a few hexagonal shapes. Though he only ever seems to be seen in this clothing, they are always kept clean, adding to his royal appeal. Tied around his waist, neck and forearms, are red sashes that drag on the ground while walking. They are a crimson color from being stained with his own blood, though none would ever suspect otherwise. He also wears a crimson cloak that is equipped with a hood for secrecy if needed. Worn mainly to keep his features a secret, it is made of a loose cloth, which falls on him with the weight of a feather. In over all, Kai is a beautiful yet deadly individual who seems to be neat and tidy about his appearance. On some days, Kai will also be seen carrying a sharp spear. The spear is silver in color and has enough luster to act as a mirror. The blade is attached to a circular object, which then leads down to the pole. All of which look new, yet ancient at the same time. When carried with him, Kai will carry the blade with the tip towards the ground, but never seems to want to carry it on his back, like most people. But then again, it is seldom that the spear is even seen. Personality: When he was a child, he was a very kind boy, loving towards his parents and brother, and respectful to his servants, as well as his teachers. His original dream was to become a shinobi and lead a life of completing missions, though this was highly forbidden by his father, the Daimyo. After the death of his brother and the following suicide of his mother, Kai’s innocence was corrupted, his ideals and personality changed severely, becoming cold, lonely, cruel, cynical, and somewhat arrogant. It was a difficult time for him as his father became obsessed with his own work. Leaving Kai to dwell in his pain, he became unbalanced inside and almost evil. Cutting all ties to his life in as the Daimyo’s son, he left home after assassinating his father. Seeing the entire shinobi system as nothing but a painful life for all involved, Kai has made it one of his goals to destroy the shinobi system and all of its villages. By cleansing the world with darkness, he plans to build anew. After murdering his father, Kai was found overlooking him while covered in blood. Upon running away, he went into hiding where he learned to master his abilities. With the ability to manipulate blood, Kai is seen as somewhat gothic, though his personality somewhat differs. Feeling as though the pain of his loss is what had awakened him to the reality of the world, he strongly believes that pain is the answer to the dying earth. Tied into this, many of Kai’s abilities involve causing pain upon him, noted by the cuts on his wrists. Kai is not suicidal, but does tend to cut himself while fighting his enemies. During a fight, Kai usually begins without using any special tactics. Instead, he uses his perfected knowledge of the human body to strike at their pressure points, causing internal harm if not death. But while all of him seems to appear bad, Kai does show respect and care towards his fellow Musubi clan members. Feeling as though they are god’s chosen ones, he looks down upon all others, even if they are stronger than him. When facing an enemy, Kai maintains his composure, making sure not to let his emotions get the better of him. Aside from fighting, there is another side of Kai that happens without trying. Kai is also described as "charming". Perhaps it is the tome in his voice, or his majestic eyes, but many women seem to be captivated by his presence alone. Kai is usually depicted with a stoic, emotionless look, though more carefree than cold. Preferring solitude, he is not particularly talkative. Kai also has a strong sense of honor, often determined to show others the power of the Musubi. Despite often being shown with a playful smile, Kai is seemingly apathetic to the suffering of others. Kai is not averse to disposing of those who get in his way and is not easily intimidated, usually speaking to others in a very direct and arrogant manner. He cares little for others, and simply considers people to be "toys" or "tools" he can sacrifice in order to get what he wants. However, despite claiming that people are just toys, he seems to tolerate the other Musubi members, and even protects them when need be, though he will not always do so directly. Deep within his heart, Kai desires to destroy the entire shinobi system and wishes to invoke world suffering by starting a world war, claiming to want to cleanse the world with darkness. Joining a group of mercenaries, he plans on using them for his own benefit. :: Character Clan :: Name of Clan: Musubi, 結び – (Ending) Clan Ability: Each of the Musubi are gifted with a unique ability known only to themselves. Character History and RP Sample History: Kai's history is that of something sad and depressing. Filled with pain and torment, it is no wonder he turned up the way he did. Born as the second son of a Daimyo, he lived a rather sheltered life under the constant watch of body guards. He lived in a large palace with his parents and older brother Rio. Rio was said to be the next Daimyo and everyone loved him. Living in both his father and his brother's large shadows, feelings of hate and dismay were born deep within his heart. But even if he resented his brother, he still loved him. However, due to past events, the time in which they spent together was short lived, as Rio was murdered at such a young age. Rio was carrying Kai on his back and was headed to the palace gardens where the two would occasionally have time to play. It was a bright summer day and the air was warm. Kai had made two kunai out of wood and was now trying to fight Rio. It was evident that Kai was outmatched by his brother who could just as easily appear behind him and strike but he never did. He made sure to go slow and easy to let it be fun for Kai. Kai had even cut up some material and colored a ninja headband on it. Kai was forced to hide these in his room due to his fathers opinion on the matter. As a son of the Daimyo, Kai was forbidden to ever receive shinobi training. Hours had gone by and they were now lying under the sakura tree that was in the center of the garden. Their cook would have lunch ready soon and so they got up to head inside. “I want to become a real ninja, and then I am going to beat you!!! I will have my own kunai, my own ninjutsu and my headba-” Kai looked up at his brother who had turned to look at something. Kai moved out from behind his brother to see what it was that he was looking at. A deep mist was rolling down from the hill. It was thicker than any mist he had ever seen. From within the mist, a dark figure could be seen. Kunai shot out from the mist and headed right towards them both. Kai crossed his arms in front of himself as if to block the attack. Kai opened his eyes to see his brother standing in front of him with the kunai lodged into his arms. Enough of the mist had cleared away to see a young man wearing a shinobi headband, though he could not make out the symbol upon it. The man advanced down the hill with great speed but was blocked once again by Rio. Rio turned his head to Kai... “Run!!!” Kai turned to run but turn to look back at what was happening. Both the stranger and Rio were exchanging blows. Kai tripped on a rock while he was looking at them. He fell to the ground, scraping his knee. He shouted in pain which caused the stranger to look at him. He raised his right hand and sent another set of kunai at him. Rio quickly threw the kunai from his arms and blocked the attack on Kai once more. But while he did this, it gave the intruder a chance to strike, which he took... ___________________________ Kai looked down at his brother’s solid coffin as it was being lowered into it, tears rolling down his face. He held his mother's hand as she wept. His father was also crying but would not take the time to comfort his mother. Many of the villagers had gathered there to morn over the loss of Rio. Rio was loved by everyone and was a role model for many people and now… he was dead. A few days had passed since Rio had died. Kai's parents were devastated by what had happened. Kai's father had bocome obsensed with work and wouldn’t even come to the dining room for supper. Rio was his dad’s favorite; a living prodigy. Kai's mother had stopped talking and found it hard to look at Kai, who looked so much like Rio. She was on antidepressants and stayed in her room most of the day with all the lights off. She used to be very happy and kind. Kai was also hurting but knew that he had to stay strong for his mother’s sake. He put on a smile even when he cried at night. He would draw to calm himself and would draw worlds where nothing bad ever happened. Kai was sitting in the arts room and was drawing another picture. He wasn’t very good but knew that this would cheer his mother up. She was always happy when he drew her a picture and would have it framed and mounted to show it off. He had used his crayons to draw a picture of their house with his family standing outside, holding hands. His father was standing on the end, holding his mother’s hands which lead to Kai. Kai was holding his mother’s hand and his brother’s hand. He had drawn his brother flying above him and as an angel. He held it up and admired it. It was poorly done, but he would still be praised for it's creativity. He got up and pushed in his chair. "Mom!! I made something for you!!" Kai ran down the hall towards her room. As he turned the corner to his mother’s room he yelled “Mommy, look what I dre-” Kai dropped his drawing on the floor… Blood soon soaked the page. It was raining as Kai looked over at where his brother was buried and then back at his mother’s grave. Kai's mother had ended her own life, drowned in her grief. He stood there with his father and looked down. The funeral had just ended and now they were alone. His father had a strange expression as he stared blankly at her grave. He did not cry. Kai reached up to hold his hand but as he did, his father pulled away and walked out of the cemetery. Kai stood there alone. ------------------------ With his father focussing on his duties as Daimyo, Kai was left to live alone. Every night they would meet at the dinning halls to be served their meals; and every night it was silent. It was a plush life, but one filled with mixed emotions. Remembering the fighting the his brother had shown while protecting him from the assassin, Kai knew that he must have been secretly training in the arts of the shinobi. Confirming this, Kai decided that he to would teach himself and learn the ways of the shinobi, of only to destroy them. Yes, over the years, Kai soon saw the world outside his palace walls as a land willed with remorse and emptiness. Was their no peace and tranquility within it? While being taught his lessons of political matters by the hired teachers, Kai secretly trained himself. Upon doing so, something within him awoke. Known as the Musubi bloodline, he soon found that he himself had skills like no other person he could find. Harnessing this power, Kai became engulfed in his decision to cleanse the world through darkness. That night, Kai murdered his own father; the Daimyo. As the guards stumbled upon the scene, they found Kai drenched in his fathers blood with a demonic smile on his face. With eyes of crimson, Kai proceeded to taking on the current Raikage and defeated him in a battle. Upon his defeat, Kai took his place as Raikage and now rules with an iron fist. As for the Daimyo, the now current one thanks Kai as it has put him in the seat of power much sooner than he had ever thought. RP Sample:- Spoiler:
It had been one full week since his father had disappeared, and he and his mother were now eating breakfast. No one knew where he went or why he left. He just simply never came one night. Kazu was 7 and would be celebrating his eight birthday the next day. The only thing he was wishing for was for his father to return safely. Kazu was different from all the other kids in their village and from his own family. The dark black tentacles within him frightened the other children, which was fine, because he preferred to be alone. He always seemed to have a dark way about him.... as if something was off.
His mother had taught him how to sew things together when he was a bit younger. And now he could sew blankets and fix clothing. He could always remember the small doll of the Takikage that she had made for him. It had a zipper in the front that he could hide things in. Whenever he made money by helping around the house, his mother would tell him to go upstairs and place it in the doll to keep it safe.
His mother could see that he was getting more and more different. He would sit and talk to himself when no one was around. She brushed it off saying that he was just finding a way to cope with having no friends. But as time grew on, his action grew more and more grotesque. One night, she had gone outside to call him in, and found him hunched over a dead cat. The boy had killed the cat and was now eating the meat off of one of its legs. Horrified, she dragged him into the house and gave him a good beating while scolding him. She said that she would not tell his father if he promised never to kill another animal again.
It was now morning and he sat up in his bed. He knew that his father would not be there for today but still wished that he would come home. He had reached the age where he now wanted to know everything about jutsu and learn to use it. He got out of bed and then dressed himself for the day. He had school today and would then come home to cake and a present from his mother. His father had been a very successful ninja so money was bountiful. He had had his eyes on a new shuriken set at the store for some time now and hoped that she had gotten him it.
After a well cooked breakfast, he set out for school. They were going over shuriken throwing and Kazu was pretty good at it. He was a better aimer when using his thread-like tentacles, but was told not to use them. After 20 minutes of throwing, they went back inside for the remainder of the day to learn from the classroom about other things. Graduation was only a week away and Kazu knew that he would pass. He was extremely gifted in hand-to-hand combat and could out best all of the students, even with their jutsu. The bell rang and he headed home with lightning speed.
As he pulled around the corner of his house, he saw two ANBU agents leaving. He raced inside with a giant grin that soon faded. His mother was crying on the sofa and did not notice him. Kazu did not know that the two ANBU agents had told her that her husband was dead. A brutally mangled body had been found at the edge of the country that they believed was him. Kazu went over to comfort his mother while not knowing what was wrong. “Did those guys make you sad?” His mother did not answer. She continued to weep in morning for her loss, and was to shaken up to tell Kazu.
A look of pure vengeance came across Kazu’s face as he thought about the ANBU hurting his mother. “I must keep her safe…. Safe from everyone that would hurt her. But where…..” Kazu thought about where he could take his mother to keep her safe, but no place came to mind. It was then that he thought about what she had once said. “Go upstairs and put your money somewhere safe.” He would then take his money and put it into the doll that she had made for him. Kazu quickly ran upstairs and grabbed the doll from under his bed. As if his life was threatened, he raced down the stairs with his doll in hand and slowly walked towards his mother.
He stopped in the middle of the room and looked down at the doll in his hands. He slowly unzipped its stomach and let the money fall to the ground. His mother then looked up from her daze and looked at him. As if an angle sent down from god, he had on a look of sincere compassion and kindness that seemed to light up the room. “I will save you mother…. I will keep you safe….”
As he let his arm fall to hang by his side, with the doll still in hand, his shirt burst open and thousands of thread-like tentacles raced towards his mother…
One of the neighbors had heard the shrieks and screams of a woman coming from within the house next to them and called for help. The screams could be heard within the whole neighborhood and sent chills down everyone’s spin. It took only a minute before ANBU agents appeared at Kazu’s house…. But the screaming had already stopped. The door was unlocked as one of the members slowly opened it. He found himself standing in a blood soaked living room with a small boy hunched over a woman’s body. As he inched his way near, he could see the horror that had befallen the woman.
Her chest was ripped open and her face was gone. The boy was hunched over the corpse and eating the meat off of one of her legs. His face was covered with blood and blood was pouring from his eye as if crying blood. As he looked up at the ANBU agent, the man could see that this was not a child, but a demon that wore his skin. His eyes were two different colors, and the face of a woman was sewn into his stomach with black threads.
“Mommy is safe now…..”
After placing a sleeping jutsu over him, Kazu was taken to the hospital for examining. Upon looking him over, the medical team confirmed that Kazu had taken his mother eye and her face. What was more interesting was what the face held within it. Putting on rubber gloves, one of the medical ninja opened the mouth of the woman that was sewn into his stomach. Within her mouth, lay her heart, still beating. The heart was attached to Kazu’s body by the tentacles within him, now having two hearts.
Fearing that they might kill him if trying to remove her face or heart, they left them within him and cleaned him up. After one more physical examination, they placed him in the hospitals psyche ward several levels below the surface. There he remained for one whole year….
Extra Info: No one knows this, but while his father can take the organs of other people to extend his own life, Kazu can also take the body parts of other people (His Mothers Face and eye.) _______________________________________________________
“Hush, little baby, don't say a word. Mama's gonna buy you a mockingbird…”
Several stories below the waterfall hospital, the sound of a child’s voice can be heard throughout the dark halls. Within one of the rooms sits a young boy curled up in a ball, rocking back and forth. His arms, bound by the straitjacket as he smiles widely; the soft, padded floor against his side; and the malice and evil that lurks in his eyes. His words sent chills down the spines of all who could hear, as evil rolled of his lips.
“And if that mockingbird won't sing, Mama's gonna buy you a diamond ring…”
It had been a year since he had been admitted into the secret facility, and today was his birthday. Today was the day that he became nine, yet there was little to show for it. Kazu, the demon of insanity, continued to rock back and forth, back and forth. The halls were silent except for his crazed lullaby, which rung like an echo that had no end.
“And if that diamond ring turns brass, Mama's gonna buy you a looking glass…”
Kazu had killed his mother in cold blood, and was found feasting upon her flesh. When fully examined, they could see that he had taken her eyes, and had sewn her face into his stomach. The madness was overwhelming, and it was clear that he needed help. He was locked deep underground in a secret penitentiary, where the mad and evil were kept.
“And if that looking glass gets broke, Mama's gonna buy you a billy goat…”
His room and straight-jacket were enforced with chakra to hold his god-like strength, which was very close to that of the great Lady Tsunade. His food was always drugged so that he would not be able to think clearly and use his abilities to cause chaos and havoc. He was one of the highest prioritized loons within the building, and it was not all because of his madness.
“And if that billy goat won't pull, Mama's gonna buy you a cart and bull…”
He would often get many visitors from time to time. The waterfall Black Ops use done of his abilities to their own will. His ability the see the truth was used to interrogate captured ninja. Kazu, as crazed as he was, was also rewarded for his help.
“And if that cart and bull fall down, I’ll by you a car so you can drive it in town…”
Footsteps could now be heard coming down the halls, dragging something. By the sound, it was clear that there were three of them and the dragged person. The sound alerted Kazu and he sat up in his room. He knew that they were coming for him again. They needed his help. The steps stopped at his door as a key was placed into two locks. The door handle slowly turned….
“And if that car just will not start, I’ll rip open my chest and give you my heart…”
Three men entered the room and drug the beaten man in with them. One of the Black Ops men crouched down on his knees so that he was now level with Kazu. “Kazu, we need to speak with mommy.”
“Mommy is sleeping; mommy does not wish to read today… her eyes hurts…"
“Kazu, wake mommy up, and we will give you a reward when we are done.” His words were kind and gentle as he spoke to Kazu.
A small smile stretched across his face as he heard that he would have a reward today. “Do you hear that mommy; if we are good, we get a prize… today is my birthday and I really want the present….”
The man lifted the bandages from Kazu’s right eye to reveal one that did not match the other. The red eye pierced through them all as if it was a dagger. “Now Kazu, we need to know what this man told our enemies…. Can you please find out for us?” The man dragged the almost dead man over to Kazu and plopped him in front of Kazu.
“What did you tell those ninja that you have been secretly meeting with?”
The beaten man spit up blood and then responded. “I have met with no one; I did not tell anyone anything!!!”
Kazu’s eye pierced through his soul to reveal all his secrets. “He is not a liar… he is a good man who does not deserve to die…”
The Black Ops agent stood up and let out a sigh. “Well, you heard him, looks like we got the wrong man.” Kazu winced in pain. The agent looked over at him with a suspicious eye. He then went over to Kazu’s bed and lifted the sheets to reveal nothing. He then crouched down and reached under the bed and pulled something out. The meat bled through his fingers as he realized the horror. Kazu’s food was always drugged to keep him from using some of his abilities. There was never a time that Kazu did not eat his food, for it caused him unbearable pain when he did.
Kazu slowly rose to his feet and let his head hang low. Small black tentacles pierced through the holes on the back of his jacket. The ninja raced for the door but were to late. The black thread-like tentacles pierced through their legs like charms on a necklace and held them in the air.
“Wanna see a cool trick..?”
The ninja yelled in pain as Kazu ripped off their limbs and threw them in a pile. He moved towards the tortured man and looked down on his scarred face. “Today is my birthday… and you are my present…” He stuck a pentacle through the top of his head and out his chin. Kazu walked out of his room and dragged the corpse behind him. The Black Ops had mistaken a years worth of planning with habit, and now it lead to their doom. The lower levels were lightly guarded, even with all the evil that lurked below it. They thought to highly of their locked doors and thought that no one would even get out. But they were wrong. Kazu made it up to the main floor by using the elevator at the end of the hall. Once the doors opened, he used his flicker technique and disappeared.
Kazu appeared deep in the woods outside of the Waterfall Village and sat down next to the corpse he had taken. Today was his birthday, and today he would celebrate his freedom. Kazu leant over and started to feast on his prize.

Kai looked down at his brother’s solid coffin as it was being lowered into it, tears rolling down his face.

With his father focussing on his duties as Daimyo, Kai was left to live alone.
With eyes of crimson, he fled and went into hiding, only to arise once more....

- Spoiler:

Rio quickly threw the kunai from his arms and blocked the attack on Kai once more. But while he did this, it gave the intruder a chance to strike, which he took...

:: Character Looks and Personality ::
- Spoiler:

Kai looked down at his brother’s solid coffin as it was being lowered into it, tears rolling down his face.
------------------------
With his father focussing on his duties as Daimyo, Kai was left to live alone.
With eyes of crimson, Kai proceeded to taking on the current Mizukage and defeated him in a battle. Upon his defeat, Kai took his place as Mizukage and now rules with an iron fist. As for the Daimyo, the now current one thanks Kai as it has put him in the seat of power much sooner than he had ever thought.
